Words by Marlee
Marlee’s poems speak so elegantly because she not only has a sense of fearlessness about what she has to say, but creates with a conviction that connects with you when you feel like you can't say it for yourself quite yet.
A Simple Branding Checklist
When creating a brand, you should consider everything from aesthetics to logos, customer experience to social media presence and even the type of work environment you want for your staff. Branding can be difficult and extremely overwhelming at first. Essentially, branding is how your consumers will view your business. A successful brand doesn’t happen overnight and requires a smart plan. If you take the right steps to entail that your brand is unique, authentic and well-rounded, there’s no reason why your business won’t succeed. Addressing the topic of branding can be daunting, so I created a simple checklist!
November’s Featured Artist Nicholas Chamberlain
A lot of artists start in one art form and end up in another. Though in today's world switching between art forms can be scary. You might be worried that if you switch up what you are doing as an artist that you might lose followers or sales. But...isn't that the whole point of being an artist? That you aren't put in a box? Aren't artists artists because they aren't afraid to express themselves in all ways in front of an unforgiving world? That is what I admire in this November's featured artist Nicholas.
Productive vs. Busy in a World of Burnout
As work/life/creative boundaries blur, many of us have a harder time leaving our work tasks at the office, and our art tasks at the studio. It can be tempting to carry tasks over into the personal realm. Now more than ever we are feeling the pressure to be as productive at home as we are in our day-job lives.

Evan Yamada
I was always into drawing, design, and graphic design. You can see that in some of my first posts on instagram. If you exclude vision boards from elementary school. I didn't start collaging until about five years ago. I was doing an assignment in college for my Visual Journalism degree where we had to shoot a documentary. My ex-girlfriend's friend's mom was dating Cheyenne Randall (@indiangiver) and I loved his work. I was fortunate enough to get to shoot a documentary on him and follow him around for a few days. He had a bunch of work from Jay riggio (jayriggio) in his house. Cheyenne really immersed me in the art world and introduced me to collaging and I’m really grateful for that. It's funny, in college I worked for the school magazine and helped design and put out a few issues and now I'm cutting up magazines.
What is CRÉATEUR Zine?
This brand I created that I call CRÉATEUR is a brand of intention. The lovely part of creating is that there is no wrong way to do it. One thing my mother always says is that there are no mistakes in art. As artists we create what we create for ourselves, for the expression of what we feel matters in that very moment. Sometimes this initial intention can be clouded by demands of admirers, questions you don't have answers to, sales and deadlines, quantity over quality. I hope as you follow CRÉATEUR, it inspires you to always come back to your intention. Every detail of how you live your own creative lifestyle matters, and every creative lifestyle is full of possibilities. You just have to be curious enough to dive in.

LexaLuna Studio
Patience. Patience is something we have all been challenged with in light of recent global events. Staying home, inside and safe has proven to be a more complex request than we might have thought. Patience is something Alexa has been practicing in these times and has been working on shifting her focus and priorities to her health, physically and mentally. When you are not healthy, your art can suffer as well. The way you express yourself creatively can sway as intimately as your mood. Learn how Alexa Villanueva’s creative journey with starting LexaLuna Studio, brought her to become more present, and therefore move forward in creating with more intention and heartfelt gratitude.
